Born in 1992 in Kenitra, Zakia is a Director of Photography, filmmaker, screenwriter, and visual artist. From an early age, she developed a strong interest in photography and cinema. She naturally pursued studies in audiovisual arts, followed by an academic path combining visual arts, cinema, and theory.
She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Cinematographic Techniques from the Faculty of Multidisciplinary Studies of Ouarzazate (FPO) in 2015, a Master’s degree in Film Studies from Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) in 2019, and a National Higher Diploma in Plastic Expression from the École Supérieure d’Art et Design de Grenoble (ESAD) in 2021. She later joined Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), where she completed an excellence program in Cultural Development during the 2021–2022 academic year. That same year, she founded her own film production company, REAL-EYES Production, in 2021.
Driven by a deep interest in scientific laws, psychology, and philosophy, Zakia has chosen a multidisciplinary path, exploring creation through multiple forms: photography, video art, painting, immersive installations, and both fiction and documentary cinema. She defines herself above all as an artisan of light. — a light through which she tells stories, between shadow and revelation. Her thinking moves across different worlds, seeking to connect the invisible laws that govern both the human being and the universe.
